Bóly Zrt. is an agricultural company belonging to Bonafarm Mezőgazdaság, whose successful operations are based on the utilisation of the region’s favourable conditions and resources, the company’s respect of the Hungarian agricultural traditions, the use of up-to-date farming techniques, technological development and the professional and responsible work of its employees.

Its history dates back to the estate of Archduke Albrecht Habsburg and Alfred von Montenuovo; its operations today are based on its lands between the Mecsek hill and the rivers Duna and Dráva. The former estates were first turned into as many as nine farms, to be integrated in the Bóly State Farm in 1963. In 1977 the Ministry of Agriculture and Food recategorised the Bóly State Farm as Bóly Agricultural Combine. The agricultural company that played a strategic role in large scale farming even before, was turned into a fully state-owned shareholding company upon the transformation of the agricultural complex in 1992.

A new era began in Bóly in 2004 when one of Hungary’s largest, most successful and best known agricultural enterprises was privatised by private investors.

Our achievements are based on a new organisational and divisional structure (replacing the earlier territorially structured management system), created alongside a wide variety of technical developments, enabling effective and efficient, more reasonable and more profitable operations. The most important characteristics of agricultural operations of today’s standards include the use of up-to-date technology, higher average yields, high quality and satisfied partners and consumers.

Accredited agricultural laboratory
