Agroprodukt Zrt.

The 5 companies making up the Agroproduct Group joined the Bonafarm Group in June 2017. The acquisition enhanced Bonafarm Mezőgazdaság’s crop and livestock production operations added some new divisions to the existing ones.

The Agroprodukt companies – Agro-Invest Kft., Agro 22 Zrt., Agroprodukt Zrt., Sertéstenyésztő és Hizlaló Bt., and Wildex Kft. (the latter has been sold recently) – are major agricultural businesses in and around the town of Pápa, employing nearly 340 persons at 7 plants. They produce crops on nearly 8,000 hectares of land and have their own produce storage facilities, sowing seed processing plant and feed mixing plant. The merger of the two groups resulted in a nearly 30% increase in the Bonafarm Group’s cropping area and enabled the exploitation of major synergies in the sowing seed and feed divisions alike, helping the group achieve its goal of producing as much as possible of the feed required for its livestock in addition to working on the continuous development of livestock production itself.

The livestock farms of the Agroproduct group are engaged in pig fattening (with an output of 25000 fattened pigs a year) along with dairy cow breeding (keeping 3300 milking cows and their calves). The fusion more than doubled Bonafarm Mezőgazdaság’s own milk production (to more than 62 million kg of milk per year), as a result of which as much as 15% of Sole-Mizo Zrt’ milk input is produced by the Group.
